When you join the Fellowship Foods family by ordering our subscriptions or individual items, we’ve got a few things we’d like you to know:
Every week at your designated delivery location, the pieces of your order will be labelled with your name.
Anything cold (like eggs, meats, butter, meals, poultry, etc) will be in an insulated bag with your name on it,
inside a cooler.
You may transport your items home in the bags and produce boxes, but don’t take the coolers! We’ll need them again the next week.
++Please return the bags and produce boxes and we’ll reuse them.++
If you forget to pick up, you are still responsible for payment. If you can’t make it in the provided timespan, contact your stop host (whose info will be provided separately via email) and make arrangements with them. Some stop hosts don’t mind storing your box overnight, but neither they nor we are not responsible for the food or its change in quality after it has sat for that amount of time, especially at an outdoor stop.
All of our biweeklies are synchronised. Our next delivery and order deadlines are always announced on our homepage so you can know when you’ll receive your order, and you can check our schedule to keep up!
Most of us like to pay online, but if you prefer not to, follow the link for “manual payments” at the top of the checkout page, and you’ll be directed to where you can sign up for that. We will then email you invoices each week. Non-payment over a period of time will necessitate action on our part, whether that’s suspension of your subscriptions or, in extreme cases, legal action.
Changes & Vacations:
You can add a la carte items, change your standing order, temporarily stop for vacation, or otherwise change your order, but it must be done using the schedule below so we and the farmers have time to adjust. We won’t be able to honor changes made after each Saturday. Keep up with our delivery schedule when ordering extra catalog items.
Cheese and Bread orders by midnight Wednesday night
Everything else by 8pm Saturday evening
Together, you and we are enjoying great, fresh food while supporting our local farmers. In the beginning of a season, and throughout, our farmers plant seeds and seedlings based on our subscription numbers (which is how a CSA works and benefits everyone.) Cancellations hurt not just your fridge or our bottom line, but our farmers’ as well. They take a loss (or sometimes we do in order to spare them) when our subscribers cancel. Of course, there are life changes that come up, like moves, job loss, etc, but we must impose a $40 early termination fee on non-circumstantial cancellations (to be reviewed and determined.) If your subscription is on hold for a long period of time, and we haven’t heard from you after attempts at communication, we reserve the right to cancel your subscription and charge the fee.
We offer pay-as-you-go subscriptions and the ability to manage your account for vacations and such to help increase access to great local food for a wider segment of the population and to provide a certain amount of flexibility to our customers.
Because we supply perishable products, we can not offer returns. If a product you receive is unsatisfactory, please bring it to our attention and the appropriate measures will be taken to resolve the problem. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with concerns, and she will help!
